Build foundational routines, communication, participation, and age-appropriate everyday skills.
Our story
ElevateAbility grew from personal family experience and a simple belief: people deserve meaningful opportunities to learn the skills that matter in their own lives.
We created a place where instruction begins with the individual—not a standard idea of what progress should look like.

Why ElevateAbility exists
Everyday skills do not always come together in the same way, on the same timeline, or with the same kind of support. They may take individualized instruction, repetition, and practice in the places where those skills are actually used.
The goal is not a single definition of independence. It is to help each person grow in confidence, make choices, participate more fully, keep learning, and work toward goals that are personally meaningful.
Our approach
We do not begin with a predetermined curriculum or the same checklist for every learner. Before deciding what to teach, we learn about the person: their strengths, needs, interests, priorities, and goals. That understanding shapes what comes next.
Tell us what you’re looking for, ask questions, and learn how ElevateAbility may support the learner’s goals.
We learn more about the learner and develop an individualized plan. Existing assessments can inform it, and we can provide an assessment when additional information would be useful.
An instructor turns individualized goals into practical learning and real-life practice.
The steps are simple. The plan, pace, and practice are personal.

Learning through real life
Practical skills often make more sense when learning connects to real situations. Instruction may happen through activities such as:
An activity is not the finish line. The instructor helps break a skill into understandable steps, provides the right level of support, makes room for practice, and helps the learner build confidence using that skill in everyday life.
One-to-one instruction
Learning is shaped through a teaching relationship, not delivered as a standardized group curriculum. Working one-to-one gives an instructor room to notice what is helping, adjust when something is not working, and build from what the learner can already do.
Give learning the time and repetition it needs.
Break skills into understandable, practical steps.
Support effort, problem-solving, and growing confidence.
Adjust the approach when something is not working.
That individual attention keeps learning connected to the person’s goals, routines, and real life.
Across ages and stages
There is no single finish line. ElevateAbility works with children, teens, and adults on goals that reflect where they are now and what matters next.
Build foundational routines, communication, participation, and age-appropriate everyday skills.
Work on social skills, planning, community participation, increasing responsibility, and preparation for what comes next.
Focus on goals connected to home, work, relationships, community participation, personal interests, and daily life.
Our philosophy
Goals should reflect what matters to the learner.
Learning should connect to situations people actually encounter.
Instruction should recognize what someone can already do and build from there.
Meaningful growth looks different for different people.
Your next step
